A long, super fun and amazing family trip after a gap of
3long years, but I must say the trip was worth a wait and one of the most
memorable trip I ever had. This time it was Bangalore(now Bengaluru), Mysore
& Tirupati, a typical south Indian trip with all the south Indian flavors
in it.
Rather than writing a typical day wise experience I thought
let’s write this in some different flavor. So I would like to give my thoughts,
reviews etc. about the places I visited obviously, with day wise experience.
But before I start I must thanks to my sis, as this trip was
courtesy my sis and Infosys Mysore training center.
Day 0 (Start of the Trip)
It was a rainy Friday evening and our AI(Air-India) flight
was on time. I was kinda excited as, first thing, I never travelled by air in
that kind of weather and secondly it was 2 hour long (longest w.r.t. time for
me ) journey from Pune to Bangalore(Bengaluru) via Hyderabad. Here are some snaps from the plane.
Hyd Airport
As we were 4 people, kisi ek ko to kurbani deni hee thi toah
I gave the kurbani (so my mom,dad n sis sat on the three chairs on the same side
and I was sitting on the other side ) in a hope that this kurbani will turn
into a boon and I will be accompanied by a beautiful girl throughout my journey
till Hyd if not Bnglr. Par kehte hai na, har baar jaisa aap sochte ho waisa nahi
hota, and……..2 aged male in there mid 40’s came and occupied the seat beside
me. Aur phir the same thing happened in Hyd, again kurbani and again jo socha
vo ho na saka n as we say “Dil KeArmaan Aasoun Mein Beah Gaye”.
Baadal aur Barsaat
The plane landed at
Bnglr airport at arnd 6:30, n I must say it’s a well maintained and big airport
situated at a distance from city. I suggest that who all travelling with family
better come out of the airport and look for the taxi and those who are
travelling alone, I feel taking a Volvo is the best option considering the
amount of luggage one is having. As, I booked a taxi from inside I feel the
rate was little high, I paid 1200 for approx. 38 Km. But all well, n we reached
our destination. Thoda araam-vishraam and then we were ready for the dinner. We
took a walk near Majestic Area, where we were residing, went to a hotel and
ordered some north Indian dishes , Paneer-Dal etc. and the taste was really good.
Day 1 (The
Exploration)
I rather we, were excited
like anything. A good sleep in the night and I was ready to explore Banglore
with full energy and enthusiasm. Aur jisa kehte hai, kissi cheez ko dil se
chaaho to saari kaaynaat tumhe use dilane mein lag jaati hai, to hua bhi kuch vahiJIt
started with a superb South-Indian (but not very typical) breakfast.
Sheera(Halwa) was amazing n the smell of clove(लौंग) was making it even better.
With a good HOT sambar and soft Idlis the overall breakfast turned something
beyond my expectation and sharing and eating with family made it even more
special.
Subah Ka Nashta
After having the
pait-pooja we geared up for our next task and that was city exploration. But,
before that we wanted to book our tickets for Tirupati from ITDC so we thought
of taking a walk till there as it was near the place we were residing. After
10mins of walk we were near Freedom Park, Central Jail formerly, which was the
resting place for A.B. Vajpayee & L.K. Advani during 1975 emergency. It
was good to know that some part of it has been allotted for protests and IAC
indefinite fast was also hosted here. But I must say that the long and wide
Blue colored wall with the text displaying Freedom Park do give a sense of
freedom for few seconds and then you are back to the real word “The Sound, The
Traffic and The City Bengaluru”. And after 10 minutes of further walking we
were at ITDC, we booked the tickets, enquired about Banglore Darshan and moved
forward.
My friends already game me
an idea that it’s better to take a taxi(cab) for the day rather than going for
ITDC or any other package plan. So we sticked to that and booked a taxi for
1300 (I think it was this only, may be (+-100), ohhh, I really forgot, but am
writing this post after 2 months, what to do busy life…MBA n all ;) but ya
lemme tell you that if you guyz r slim and only 2 or 3 in numbers taking an
auto won’t be a bad option, after all you will be saving on 700Rs. or something.
So, we took a taxi and
reached to our first destination “Bangalore Palace” n mmyyyy…what a place or
should I say palace. It really do look like for what it was built for smaller
replica of the Windsor Castle, n I might not be the best person to say
this as I haven’t been there(Windsor Castle)but yes Bangalore Palace is
something wonderful, though little costly.
The entry fee is Rs. 250
per person (Indian) which includes an audio guide, this was something new for
me but really worth for. If you are looking to take some snaps of yourself
within the royal building and with those dazzling pictures and things be ready
to loosen your pockets. Carrying a mobile camera costs you 250 something, a
digital camera 450, and a video camera 650. But even then I will suggest you to
carry at least a mobile camera if not digital kunki aisi jagah pe kuch photos
nikalna to banta hai.

Has been some time to the last update..Was sitting free in
office, wow...this happens so very rarely kaash...., listening to songs when these line made me
write this post.
Thought why not share some beautiful lines, songs, shayree & everything about music, sangeet, kavitaayein, panktiyain, gadhya-padhya n the list can go on & on & on...
So, here is the first one.
बस... एकहाँकेइंतज़ारमें
,
रातयूहीगुज़रजाएगी....
अबतोबसउलझनहैसाथमेरे,
नीदकहाँआयगी
...
सुबहकीकिरणनजाने,
कौनसासन्देशलाएगी...
रिमझिमसीगुनगुनायगी.....याप्यासअधूरीरहजायगी। -------- Another one, courtesy a friend. Short & Sweet, sometimes words speak louder than action.
Will try to share
more, let it be a place (post) where I and you can share everything we love
about music i.e. LIFE!!
In short n sweet, बहुत कोशिश के बाद भी कुछ ख़ास नहीं लिख पा रहा था, पर जैसा कहते है की शायद समय, परिस्तिथि और उम्र आपको सब सिखा देती है । After all experience counts n yes even came to know that without any source of inspiration it’s really difficult to write something.
One of the mostly used IM in the world and a common problem attached to it “Invisible Text”. It really destroys your mood when u ping someone using yahoo messenger and he/she is not able to view your ping but that’s not all even you are not able to see your ping.
You try every possible thing from changing the fount text/size/color to uninstalling n reinstalling of messenger, turning off firewall, clearing cookies n temp file, enable scripting etc. etc. etc. (n everything else) but the result is still same “Text on your YAHOO IM is still invisible”, so what’s the solution Guys give this a try and I am sure that it will work for you.
But before writing anything I would like to share a small story with you all n, by the end of the story, u will come to know how important Yahoo IM is for me n why I was forced to write this post (trick).
[ We used Yahoo Messenger in our office to chat with our team members and other colleague. I was new in the office when I received a ping “hi……….” (by a girl) I replied and chatted with her about myself, my hobbies etc. basically it was a normal chat of what one can have when u meet some new person.
But it doesn’t stop there and we felt that we have many things in common and then we used to chat almost whole day discussing on various topics including some topics which we only share with our close friends and soon we became very good friends. At that point I realized that I have started liking that girl and one day I thought of proposing her. But I was not having the courage to face her and to say about my feelings for her. So, I decided to say all that on Yahoo chat and I told her about my feelings on chat. What happened next is all history, but my first proposal to a girl was by Yahoo IM and that day I came to know how important Y-IM can be in one’s life. ]
So this solution is for all my friends for whom Y-IM act as a bridge to express their feelings……………….
Here is the solution for the famous Yahoo IM Mystery “The Invisible Text” -
Here are some very useful but rare tricks n tips, I would like to share these tricks with you, so w/o wasting much time and making my post lengthier it’s better to start with the 1st trick.
1) Delete Multiple Entry at Boot Scan
Your computer displays multiple entry at boot scan when you are using more than one OS on your PC. But it is sometimes very irritating when you come across multiple entry at boot scan, even if there is only one OS installed (you may be using more than 1 OS earlier). A simple way to delete the improper entry is by using your command prompt:
Go to: Start-> Run-> cmd-> Ok
Now write:
bootcfg /delete /id x where x is the number of option to be deleted (displayed on screen at booting).
Note: Write the value of x with care.
2) Shutdown PC using Command Prompt
Many times we like to schedule the shutdown of our PC or laptop, and for that we would need a software, but what to do if we don't have any. Here is the solution for that:
shutdown -s -t x
where x is the time(in seconds) after which you want to shutdown your PC. Thus, if you want to shut down your pc after 10 minutes it will be like
Start->Run->cmd->Ok
Now write:
shutdown -s -t 600
To stop the timer
shutdown -a
To shutdown/Restart/Log Off a PC on network
shutdown -i
A screen will be displayed in which you can enter the IP address of the PC you want to shutdown, time(in seconds) after which you want to shut it down and you can also leave some comment, which will be displayed when computer starts to shutdown.So,...... Enjoy and play with computers in your network.
3) Ab Sirf Style Hi Style Bolega
I don't know whether this title suits the content below or not, I was watching T.V. and heard this tag line so and found it interesting, so thought of using it n that’s the only reason of using it as a title. Ok, jokes apart but this is a wonderful utility in windows which I just came across. Check it yourself and you will come to know y am saying this.
Go to: Start->Run->eudcedit
Select the row and column (box) in which you want to write the new character and press OK. Then write whatever you want to write (name, logo, sign etc...) using various tools (it is very similar to the tools in paint). Now save (Ctrl+S) your work and close the window.
Now go to Start->Run->charmap
A window will appear, in this window select All Fonts (Private Characters), now you will be able to see the character/s which you wrote in eudcedit. Select the character and copy it, now paste it on word, notepad or wherever you want to use it.
That's it..It's Done!!!!!!
Note: You may need to increase the size of the character as it may appear small in most of the cases.
Although it has been some time to this trip, but I always wanted to write about it. It was almost 5Yrs.(5 Yrs-5Mnths-26Days to précised) that I was not have been to my native place i.e. M.P. So, we(me and my family) planned for this trip. And as we were gng out together after a long time, thus we wanted to cover maximum places where our relatives lived. So we planed our journey like this:
Pune -> Mumbai -> Indore -> Jabalpur -> Pune.
Episode 1: Pune To Bombay/Bambai OOOpss!!!Srry.....Mumbai!!!!!
Our first destination was Mumbai, you all know that there are many ways to go to Mumbai we preferred train due to our luggage (and the comfort of a train is something else, you all know that). So, we boarded Deccan Queen at 4p.m. from Pune. It took exactly 4hrs. to reach Dadar. ASAW reached Mumbai we felt that "Zara hat ke Zara bach ke ye Mumbai meri jaa". Actually we wanted 2go2 kandivali (from Dadar Station) and we asked for a taxi, the driver said that he will charge Rs.700/- n start gvng some so called reasons of taxi drivers ,ki saahab bahut ghoom ke jaana padega, ye rasta band hai, us raste par bheed hai...bla..bla..blaaaaa.But at last we fixed the taxi at Rs.300\- and reached to my Mausi's house at kandivali after a road journey of almost an hour. It was around 9-9:30p.m.As we were having flight at 6:00a.m. next morning(After 12 it's next day…right!!)we took the dinner ,which was really nice, and started baat-chhet(jab aap itne dino baad milte ho to bahut kuch hota hai baat karne ke liye).Time kaise paas ho gaya pata hi nahi chala and it was 12o'clk.Atlast we went to bed,aur need ka intzaar karne ke baavjood need aakhaon se gaayab thi,par raat 1 baje tak need ne mujhe apne aaghosh me le hi liya(Sounds interesting, hindi mein likhe ka maza hi alag hai...)and I woke up with an irritating alarm tone of my mobile at 3:15 or3:30am.Till 4 we were ready to leave. Although it was very short stay at Mumbai, I enjoyed it. Arnd. 4:30 we were at airport, covering a distance of 10Km. in 30mins that too in Mumbai was gud. After all the formalities(jisme meri do paani ki bootles bhi bahar nikalvali gayi)we were inside the plane at 6:05am.I forget to tell u that was month of "December"(Thandi ka mausam).
Watching sunrise from a height of 9000mts. was a unforgettable experience and I was so much lost in that, that I even forgot to capture that moment with the camera. And Suddenly there was announcement .... ..... "Soon we will be landing on the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar (Indore) airport please fasten your seat belts" and we reached Indore at 7:45am.
Episode 2: Indore To Jabalpur.....
We reached home at 8:30am got fresh, till now, breakfast was ready. Kya baat hai Samosa,kachuri,Jalebi,Dhokla....(Likthe-2 hi mumh me paani aa gaya). After this mouth-watering breakfast, I went to bed to take a nap but took a sound sleep and was lying on bed like a log of wood. It was a normal day. In the evening we went to some temples. The atmosphere there was peaceful, it was soothing experience.
Next day I met some more relatives n then visited some places nearby. We went to 56 Dukaan an area famous for its food items and believe me I ate like anything (Starting with Garaadu to Chaat,Patis(it's different),Sweet corn,Kulfi etc. etc. but Hasil-e-mahfil was Shikan-ji shaayad iseeliye uske aage 'ji' laga hai, it was just awesome). After these savory dishes I can say that today "My eyes were bigger than my stomach".
Next morning we did some shopping and were ready to leave. It was fun filled two days at Indore and today is 31/Dec./2009.This means I will be celebrating "New Year 2010" in the train(Narmada Express). And u can understand how it will be celebrating new year in an express.
Episode 3: Jabalpur To Pune.....
New Morning!!!New Day!!!New Year!!!It was 6:10am (1st/Jan/2010), and we were at the Jabalpur station. It was a cold morning, temperature was around 11-12oC.My eyes were looking for Mamaji, aur kehtehai na "Ki dhoodne se to bhagwan mil jaate hai", and I was only looking for Mamaji to vo mil hi gaye and in no time we were at home. Then we all took nice hot cup of tea and got fresh. As our stay at Jabalpur was only for 2 days i was in a mood for some outing and we decided tgt "Bhedaghat". It was not far away from home and we reached their in arnd. 35-40 min. It was 3:00 in the afternoon. There are 2 ways to reach there and we preferred the rope-way as the other one(by road) was very crowded and time-consuming. The view from the top was incredible but little eerie also, it offered a fabulous panoramic view of river Narmada. It took 3-4mins. To reach at the other end. We got down there and moved towards Dhuadhar, and I was astound on observing the beauty of nature. Although it was a small I will remember it for whole of my life. It was an unforgettable experience.
We came back at 6:00 in the evng. After that it was just some tp(time-pass) activities and after taking the dinner we went to bad wishing good-night to everyone. Next morning was quite dull, may be I was bit tired after those hectic 6-7 days. So, after taking lunch I took a nap. In the evening we went for shopping, but as I don't get bask in trying out shirts and trousers it was just a tp for me. But my sis. really enjoyed the shopping. The best part of that night was the dinner it was just delicious(Butter Chicken and sweet was superb)!!!!!!And that day again "My eyes were bigger than my stomach".......Next day we were having our train early in the mrng. so we went to bed.
Next day we boarded the train and started our journey to pune. We reached Pune at 4am(next day) and I got the feeling of "Back to Home" and once again it was proved that Pune is the city with best climate in India. The cold breeze was refreshing and it took away all my tiredness. And this is how the 7 day joyful and entertaining trip ended.
The song is based upon a traditional African soldiers' song named Zangalewa.
"Tsamina" or “Zangaléwa” is a 1986 hit song, originally sung by a makossa group from Cameroon called Golden Sounds. The song pays tribute to African skirmishers (a.k.a tirailleurs) during WW2.Some words in the lyrics are in a Cameroonian language called Fang.
Meaning of the words in Fang language
* Tsaminamina means Come. * Waka waka means Do it - as in perform a task. Waka is pidgin language meaning walk while working. * Tsaminamina zangalewa means where do you come from?. * Wana means it is mine. * Zambo means wait.
The lyrics,in english(Fang) read like this:
You're a good soldier Choosing your battles Pick yourself up And dust yourself off Get back in the saddle You're on the front line Everyone's watching You know it's serious We're getting closer This isn't over
The pressure's on; you feel it But you got it all; believe it When you fall, get up, oh oh And if you fall, get up, eh eh Tsamina mina zangalewa Cause this is Africa Tsamina mina eh eh Waka waka eh eh Tsamina mina zangalewa This time for Africa
Listen to your god; this is our motto Your time to shine Don't wait in line Y vamos por todo People are raising their expectations Go on and feel it This is your moment No hesitation
Today's your day I feel it You paved the way, Believe it If you get down Get up oh, oh When you get down, Get up eh, eh
Tsamina mina zangalewa This time for Africa Tsamina mina eh eh Waka waka eh eh Tsamina mina zangalewa Anawa aa Tsamina mina eh eh Waka waka eh eh Tsamina mina zangalewa This time for Africa
Falak pakad ke utho, aur hawa pakad ke chalo, –2 Tum chalo, to hindustan chale –4
Lagao haath ke suraj subah nikala karein, Hatheliyon bhare dhoop aur uchhala karein, –2 Ufaq pe paav rakho, aur chalo akad ke chalo, Falak pakad ke utho, aur hawa pakad ke chalo, –2 Tum chalo, to hindustan chale –4
What an "ad"!!!!!I think it's wrong to say it a "ad" bcz. I feel its not just not an ad but it's the feeling which every Indian shares but keep it buried deep into our hearts, "Tum chalo to Hindustan Chale".....I had seen this video many-2 times and even today when I see this video I feel like watching it again-n-again.
Almost everyone want to do something for the country, but we keep on thinking what to do??????? And when we make our mind to take some serious action we think, how can this small step can change the country, so we just take it casually (n say to ourselves, chalta hai, let it go) and keep mum. It’s not bcz. we don't want to do anything but we want to do something "REALLY BIG". But, think in a country of more than 1.2 million people, everyone doing their small bit, it’s "REALLY BIG"(Aakhir,Boond-Boond se hi,sagar banta hai).
So give your best to make INDIA a superpower. At least we can do small-2 things and these efforts of ours will make us and our country proud. There are lot of things we can do, I am writing some which are striking my mind now=>
* Pooling vehicles
* Verifying that meter is at 0 before getting your vehicle tank filled. (We generally get cheated here at we don't even come to know that we have been cheated).
*Help in making Your city and country cleaner and greener.(I think. that we all know how we can do this).
*Drive carefully, follow the traffic rules.(This can really make a colossal change).
*Try not to give or take bribe.
Waiting for what?????? Start your bit, bcz." All glory comes from daring to begin".
I know that this post is not going to change the whole country, but even if a single person feels like doing something(good) for the country I will think that my efforts of writing this post has been paid off.
Please share your thoughts wit me and others & tell what else we can do for our country. I want to conclude all this with a single line "TUM CHALO TO HINDUSTAN CHALE". Jai Hind!!!
